April Newsletter Thank you for stopping in and visiting the website. I’d like to introduce myself. I’m Lydia Burg, the new owner of The Needle’s Art. I purchased the site from Shirley late last year, but we have been working together for quite some time. She continues to reduce her inventory left over from the store on the sale page, which still seems like a full time job to her, as well as the framing she still does from home. Shirley closed the store in downtown Pella, so she could spend more time with her two young grandchildren. Shirley has been a huge help to me as I am constantly learning from her expertise. I live in Pella with my husband and two children, (son 15, and daughter 10). I grew up in the California Bay Area, but moved to Iowa six years ago. I am a crafting enthusiast! I enjoy sewing, quilting, knitting and scrap booking, but I LOVE cross-stitching the most! Like many stitchers, I usually have more than one project going on at a time. I am always looking at new patterns and like to learn new techniques. Over the next few months, I will try to bring new ideas to the website, and please let me know if there is anything you would like me to carry or that you would like to see changed. I will do my best to try and make it happen. I would also like to start a birthday club. If you have any ideas on how you would like to celebrate your special month let me know that as well. I’m thinking of a percentage off your purchases for the entire month of your birthday, so let me know what you think. I’m also thinking of starting a frequent buyer club. After reaching a certain dollar amount you would receive a percentage off the next purchase. If a pattern or design is still in print, I will do my best to try and locate it for you. Just let me know what I can do to help you with your projects. I am looking forward to new friendships and at the same time enjoy a craft we are all so passionate about. Hugs and Stitches, |
